What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a system of natural medicine that has been used around the world for over 200 years. Developed by German physician Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in the late 18th century, homeopathy is based on the principle of “like cures like” - the idea that a substance that causes symptoms in a healthy person can help resolve similar symptoms in someone who is unwell, when given in a specially prepared and diluted form.
Homeopathy works with the body’s own healing capacity, offering individualized treatment that considers the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of a person. It’s known for being gentle, non-toxic, and safe for people of all ages, including infants and during pregnancy.

A Global Healing System

Today, homeopathy is used by millions of people worldwide. It’s integrated into national healthcare systems in several countries, including:
  • India, where it is one of the officially recognized systems of medicine and taught in over 200 government-approved medical colleges.
  • France, where homeopathic remedies are widely available in pharmacies and often prescribed by physicians.
  • Switzerland, where homeopathy is covered under the national health insurance plan when provided by certified practitioners.
  • Brazil, Mexico, Germany, and the United Kingdom also have strong homeopathic traditions, with many physicians trained in both conventional and homeopathic medicine.

Trusted by Many
Homeopathy has been used and praised by many well-known figures across time, including:
  • Mahatma Gandhi, who said, “Homeopathy cures a greater percentage of cases than any other method of treatment and is beyond all doubt safer and more economical.”
  • The British royal family, including the late Queen Elizabeth II, who was known to have a personal homeopathic physician.
  • Paul McCartney, Tina Turner, Cindy Crawford, and David Beckham have all spoken publicly about using homeopathy.
  • Mother Teresa even opened a homeopathic dispensary in Calcutta for the people she served.

Modern Relevance
In an age where many people are seeking more holistic, individualized approaches to health - especially for chronic conditions, emotional stress, and life transitions - homeopathy offers a time-tested, gentle, and deeply personalized form of support. Its emphasis on treating the person as a whole, rather than suppressing symptoms, continues to resonate with people seeking lasting wellness.
